Time dwells within all that flows. I live in the Ogura-ike Reclaimed Land in Kyoto. Wind, water and lines of cars pass across this land. On the highway, time moves straight toward the future. Yet there are places where time flows backward—rivers, forests, shrines and villages, where time returns to its source. The echo of wind chimes that rang here a hundred years ago still resonates today.
